Fintech sales training that gets reps fluent — and compliant — before they speak to a client.
In payments, e-money and crypto, one careless sentence becomes a complaint, a chargeback dispute or a letter from the regulator. Kollup lets every rep practise the merchant call, the business-account pitch and the crypto onboarding conversation against an AI client who pushes back like a real one — with your approved wording weighted into the score.

Live tip · Good question. Don’t quote a rate yet — ask for last month’s statement, so you compare his effective cost, not headline fees.
In regulated sales, learning on the job means learning on your clients.
A new rep has to learn the product, the pricing, the objections and the rules at the same time — then gets a call list. The first time a merchant asks “so there are no hidden fees?” or a customer asks “so I can’t lose money?”, the answer goes to a real client. Compliance reviews what was said after the fact, managers rarely have time to roleplay, and a confident rep who improvises is the one who worries your compliance officer most.
Merchant acquiring, business accounts, cards, FX, crypto. Each gets its own clients, objections and scoring emphasis.
Approved wording, risk warnings and the lines reps must never cross — built into the scenario, weighted into the score.
Passporting across Europe means selling in languages nobody in compliance speaks. Practise and review in 28+ of them.
Three kinds of fintech. Three very different sales calls.
A merchant comparing processors, a finance director opening a business account and a first-time crypto customer want different things — and each has its own words a rep must, and must never, use.
Merchant acquiring and switching
Payments sales training for the calls that move volume: winning a merchant from an incumbent, comparing effective cost rather than headline rates, and keeping the deal alive through business verification.
- “We’re happy with our processor”
- “Your fees are higher”
- “Switching is too much hassle”
- “Why do you need all these documents?”
Business accounts, cards and spend
Selling a business account, corporate cards or spend management to a company that already has a bank — and explaining accurately how an e-money account differs from one.
- “We already have a bank for that”
- “Is my money covered like at a bank?”
- “Our accountant won’t like it”
- “What if you go bust?”
Onboarding, B2B and institutional
Crypto sales training that puts the risk warning where it belongs: helping a new customer through verification, selling payment or custody services to businesses, and institutional conversations about fees and security.
- “Are you actually regulated?”
- “What returns can I expect?”
- “Why is verification taking so long?”
- “How do you keep assets safe?”

Practise the pitch and the compliance line together.
Most sales compliance training is a slide deck and a quiz. What matters is whether the rep still says it correctly when a client pushes — so the practice call is where the rules get tested.
- Your approved wording in the scenario. Fee disclosures, risk warnings, how you describe safeguarding, what you say about verification times — written once by compliance, practised by everyone.
- Clients who test the line. Build the customer who asks “so I can’t lose money?”, the merchant who wants a rate “guaranteed for life” and the director who assumes e-money is a bank deposit — and see who holds the line under pressure.
- Compliance weighted into the score. The focus-areas field shifts the weighting per scenario, so the correct risk warning can count as much as a well-handled objection — and the report quotes the exact sentence where it slipped.
- Something to show for it. Every attempt is scored on the same rubric with the transcript attached — useful evidence, alongside your own training records, of who practised what before going live.
Crypto onboarding — “so I can’t lose, right?”
New starters · E. Georgiou · attempt 3 of 5 · 5 min 30 s
You explained fees and verification clearly. But when he asked “so I can’t lose money?”, you said “it’s very safe”. Give the approved risk warning in full, then check he’s understood it before you move on.
Three steps. That’s the whole product.

1
Build the client
Take the conversations your reps actually have — the merchant with an incumbent processor, the director who thinks e-money is a deposit, the new customer stuck in verification. Add the approved wording from compliance, set the mood, objections, language and voice, and assign it.

The rep runs the call
In the browser, at their own desk. A real voice picks up, stays in character, pushes for the answer they want to hear and hangs up if the rep talks over it — exactly like the client who will call tomorrow.

The report lands
Seconds later: an overall score, four sub-scores, what they did well and the one thing to change — quoting their own words. Managers coach the selling; compliance sees exactly what was said.

The sale isn’t done until they’re live.
In fintech, a signed contract is only a promise of volume. The calls that turn sign-ups into active accounts — and active accounts into bigger ones — deserve the same practice as the first pitch.
Getting stuck applications over the line
The merchant who stopped halfway through verification, the business that opened an account and never funded it, the customer who gave up at the ID check. Rehearse the call that explains what’s needed and why — without promising approval you can’t guarantee.
- “Why do you need my bank statements?”
- “The other provider approved us in a day”
- “We’ll do it next month”
Reviews, repricing and expansion
The quarterly volume review, the merchant asking for a better rate, moving a business onto a higher plan or adding FX and cards. Practise the conversation that grows the account without making promises your pricing team won’t sign off.
- “We want a lower rate”
- “Why did the fee change?”
- “We’re moving volume elsewhere”
Licensed in one country, selling across the EU.
A licence passported across Europe means reps selling in Polish, Italian or German — and a compliance team that can’t check what was said. Kollup runs practice calls, Live Assist and coaching reports in 28+ languages, and every report can come back in English, so compliance can review a Romanian onboarding call without speaking Romanian.

From your compliance playbook: e-money isn’t a bank deposit. Explain how client funds are safeguarded using the approved wording — don’t call it a deposit or say it’s covered like a bank account.
And on the calls that count.
Practice builds the habit. Live Assist is there when it’s a real client — listening along and suggesting the next move, and the right wording, while the conversation is still happening.
- Grounded in your approved playbook — you build a knowledge base once: products, fees and eligibility, approved wording and risk warnings, what reps may and may not say, and the answer to every objection the team hears weekly.
- Ask it mid-call — “can we onboard a business registered in this country?” is answered on screen, silently, instead of a guess or a promise to call back.
- A report afterwards too — objections raised, how the call ended, talk ratio, interruptions.
- Kollup keeps no recordings. Audio is transcribed as it happens and discarded — only text is stored, inside your own account. Any call recording you’re required to keep stays with your own telephony.
Seats and minutes. That’s the whole model.
Every plan has the whole product — voice, text, Live Assist, 28+ languages, unlimited scenarios, coaching reports. What changes is how many people are on it and how much practice each one gets. Same plans as the rest of Kollup.
How many people
One seat per person — sales, account management, onboarding. When someone moves on, reassign their seat the same day; you pay for the chair, not the name on it.
How much practice
A monthly pool of minutes shared across the company. New starters use plenty; experienced reps rehearsing a new product or rule use little. Launching in a new market or rolling out new wording to everyone? Email us and we add minutes to that month’s invoice.

What fintech teams ask on the demo
What should fintech sales training cover?
Three things at once: the product and its pricing, the objections your clients raise, and the rules about what may and may not be said. In payments that means explaining fees and effective cost honestly; with e-money, describing safeguarding accurately; in crypto, giving risk warnings clearly and never implying returns.
Most fintech sales training covers those separately — a product session, a compliance module, a script. What it usually lacks is practice that combines them under pressure. That’s the part Kollup handles.
Can Kollup train reps on our compliance wording?
Yes. Put your approved wording — fee disclosures, risk warnings, how you describe safeguarding or verification — into the scenario, and use the focus areas to weight it in the scoring. The report quotes what the rep actually said, so it’s clear where they paraphrased, skipped a warning or overpromised.
Kollup is a training tool, not a compliance system: it helps reps practise your rules, and your compliance team still owns them.
Can we test whether reps hold the line under pressure?
That’s one of the most useful ways to use it. Build a client who asks for a guarantee, a merchant who wants a rate “fixed forever”, or a customer who assumes an e-money account is a bank deposit. The AI stays in character and keeps pushing, and the report shows whether the rep held to the approved answer.
Does it work for payments and merchant services sales training?
Yes. Build merchants by vertical, size and current provider, with the objections your team hears — happy with the incumbent, fees look higher, switching is a hassle, too many documents. Reps practise comparing effective cost rather than headline rates, and keeping deals alive through business verification.
Is it suitable for crypto sales training?
Yes, for conversations that have to stay fair, clear and not misleading: onboarding and verification calls, B2B payment and custody services, and institutional conversations about fees, security and regulatory status. Scenarios can include your risk warnings and the questions — “what returns can I expect?” — where reps most need to get the answer right.
We’re required to record client calls. Does Kollup replace that?
No. Kollup doesn’t keep recordings at all — audio is transcribed as it’s spoken and discarded, and only text is stored in your own account. Practice calls aren’t client calls, and for real calls, Live Assist works alongside whatever recording your own telephony already does.
Can our compliance team review the calls?
Yes. Every practice call has a full transcript and a scored report. Reports can be shared as read-only links or saved as PDFs, and can come back in one language for the whole company, so compliance can review a call made in a language they don’t speak.
Where is our data stored, and who can see it?
Only text is stored, inside your own company’s space, never visible to another customer. Every account is isolated at the database level. Our Data Processing Agreement and privacy policy are published for your vendor due diligence.
Do we need to integrate with our CRM or telephony?
No. Kollup runs in the browser and practice calls happen inside it — a rep clicks a link, allows the microphone once, and they’re on a call. Nothing to install and nothing to integrate before you can trial it with one team.
Do you work with fintech companies outside Cyprus?
Yes. We’re based in Limassol, but Kollup runs in the browser and onboarding happens on a call, so where your team sits makes no difference to how it’s set up.
Bring us the question your reps get wrong
Thirty minutes, no slide deck. Tell us what you sell and the client question that makes your compliance team nervous — we’ll build that client live and run it on the spot. If it isn’t convincing, you’ll know inside five minutes.
