For hotels, venues, event organisers & travel companies

Hotel sales training that turns more enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Sales managers, reservations agents, event planners and travel consultants all do the same job: turn an enquiry into a booking before the client books somewhere else. Kollup lets them practise the group quote, the wedding enquiry and “it’s cheaper online” against an AI client who pushes back like a real one — with a scored report after every call.

The problem

Every enquiry has a shelf life.

A group request goes to three hotels at once. A couple visits four wedding venues in a weekend. A caller on the reservations line is already comparing prices online. New sales coordinators and reservations agents learn to handle all of it on live enquiries — usually in peak season, when nobody has time to coach them. Most hospitality sales training happens once, before the season; the enquiries arrive every day.

Every enquiry

Room bookings, groups, conferences, weddings and tailor-made trips — each with its own buyers and objections.

Every season

Seasonal staff practise before the first guest calls, not in the middle of the busiest week of the year.

Every venue

City hotel, beach resort, wedding venue, conference centre — each with its own rates, packages and scenarios.

Hotels · venues · events · travel

Three kinds of enquiry. Three very different sales calls.

A traveller booking two nights, a planner booking a conference and a sponsor buying a stand all want different things — and each is lost in a different way.

Reservations

Phone bookings and direct sales

Reservations sales training for the calls that decide whether a guest books direct: converting phone enquiries, upselling rooms and packages, and answering “it’s cheaper online”.

  • “It’s cheaper on the booking site”
  • “I’ll think about it”
  • “Anything with a sea view for less?”
  • “Can I cancel for free?”
Groups, MICE & weddings

Conferences, groups and weddings

For hotel and venue sales managers: group quotes, conference proposals, wedding enquiries, site visits and the contract terms that turn an option into a signed deal.

  • “The other hotel is €20 cheaper”
  • “We need a softer attrition clause”
  • “Can we bring our own caterer?”
  • “Hold the dates without a deposit?”
Events & travel

Sponsorship, delegates and trips

Event sales training for sponsorship, exhibition and delegate sales — and travel sales training for consultants and DMCs turning enquiries into booked trips.

  • “Our budget is already allocated”
  • “What’s the return on a stand?”
  • “I found it cheaper online”
  • “Hold it while I ask my partner”
Built around what you sell

Your properties, your packages, your terms.

A couple planning a destination wedding, a procurement manager with a conference budget and a family booking a summer holiday don’t buy the same way. Practice only helps when the client sounds like the ones who actually call you.

  • A scenario per property and product. Each hotel, venue, event or trip gets its own clients and objections. Unlimited scenarios, so a new property or a new event doesn’t mean a new licence.
  • Your rates and terms in the call. Seasonal rates, packages, group policies, minimum spends, deposits and cancellation terms, and what a coordinator can offer without the revenue manager.
  • Score what the call is for. The focus-areas field shifts the weighting per scenario — a direct booking on a reservations call, a site visit on a wedding enquiry, a signed contract on a sponsorship call.
  • Ready before peak season. Every attempt is scored on the same rubric, so you can see which new starters are ready for live enquiries before the busy months — and who needs another week.
How it works

Three steps. That’s the whole product.

  1. 1

    Build the client

Take the enquiries your team actually gets — the planner comparing three hotels, the couple with a tight budget, the caller who found a lower price online. Set the dates, the budget, the mood, the objections, the language and the voice, then assign it to a team, a property or one person.

Director of sales · 5 minutes
  2. 2

    Your team takes the call

In the browser, before a shift or in a quiet hour. A real voice picks up, stays in character, compares you with the competition and hangs up if they talk over it — just like the client on the next enquiry.

Team member · until the client hangs up
  3. 3

    The report lands

Seconds later: an overall score, four sub-scores, what they did well and the one thing to change — quoting their own words. The manager coaches from the report instead of from a call they didn’t hear.

Repeat business

The accounts that come back every year.

The most valuable clients aren’t one-off bookings. They’re the companies that send travellers all year and the organisers and sponsors who return — if the next conversation goes well.

Corporate & agency accounts

Negotiated rates and agency partners

Corporate rate negotiations, the annual request-for-proposal season, and partnerships with travel agencies and tour operators — conversations where volume, rate and availability are traded against each other.

  • “Our volume is down this year”
  • “We need last-room availability”
  • “Your competitor offered a better rate”
Rebookings & renewals

Next year’s event, before it goes elsewhere

The conference organiser deciding whether to return, the sponsor reviewing this year’s results, the wedding planner choosing venues for next season. Practise the rebooking call before a competitor makes it.

  • “Footfall was lower than we hoped”
  • “We might try another venue”
  • “Can we keep last year’s rate?”
International guests

Your guests call from everywhere.

Hotels, venues and travel companies take enquiries from dozens of countries, and callers tend to trust someone who speaks their language. Kollup runs practice calls, Live Assist and coaching reports in 28+ languages, and every report can come back in one language, so a director of sales can coach a call held in German, Hebrew or Polish.

Kollup Live Assist

And on the calls that count.

Practice builds the habit. Live Assist is there when it’s a real guest or client — listening along and suggesting the next move while the conversation is still happening.

  • Grounded in your own playbook — you build a knowledge base once: rates and packages, seasonal policies, group and event terms, deposits and cancellation rules, what staff can offer without approval, and your best answer to every objection you hear weekly.
  • Ask it mid-call — “what’s the minimum spend for the terrace on a Saturday in June?” is answered on screen, silently, instead of “let me check and email you”.
  • A report afterwards too — objections raised, how the call ended, talk ratio, interruptions.
  • Kollup keeps no recordings. Audio is transcribed as it happens and discarded — only text is stored, inside your own account.
Pricing

Seats and minutes. That’s the whole model.

Every plan has the whole product — voice, text, Live Assist, 28+ languages, unlimited scenarios, coaching reports. What changes is how many people are on it and how much practice each one gets. Same plans as the rest of Kollup.

1

How many people

One seat per person — sales managers, reservations agents, event coordinators, travel consultants. Seasonal teams change every year; reassign a seat when someone leaves, because you’re paying for the chair, not the name on it.

2

How much practice

A monthly pool of minutes shared across the business. Pre-season training uses plenty; a settled team in the middle of the season uses little. Bringing on seasonal staff next month? Email us and we add minutes to that month’s invoice.

So let’s work out what your team actually needs

Questions

What hotels, venues and travel companies ask on the demo

What should hotel sales training cover?

The conversations that turn enquiries into revenue: reservations calls and direct bookings, group and conference quotes, wedding and event enquiries, site visits, contract terms, corporate rate negotiations and rebooking calls with returning clients.

Most hotel sales training covers those in a workshop before the season. What it usually lacks is repetition — enough practice calls that a new coordinator has heard “the other hotel is cheaper” many times before a real planner says it. That’s the part Kollup handles.

Does it work for reservations teams?

Yes — it’s one of the best fits. Reservations agents take the same kinds of calls all day: availability and price questions, comparisons with booking sites, upgrade and package upsells, and callers who want to “think about it”. Reservations sales training in Kollup means building those callers once and scoring each call on whether it ended in a direct booking.

Can wedding and event sales teams use it?

Yes. Event sales training works best with realistic clients: build the couple comparing venues, the planner negotiating minimum spend, the family who wants their own caterer. Coordinators practise the enquiry call and the follow-up after a site visit before they have them for real.

Does it work for conference, sponsorship and exhibition sales?

Yes. Sponsorship and delegate sales are phone-heavy and often staffed by people early in their careers. Build the marketing manager whose budget is allocated, the exhibitor unhappy with last year’s footfall and the delegate waiting for a discount, and let your team practise before they pick up the phone.

Can travel agencies and tour operators use it?

Yes. Travel sales training covers the consultant turning an enquiry into a booked trip, the upsell to a better room or a private transfer, and the client who found something cheaper online. Destination management companies can also practise proposals and rate negotiations with agency and corporate clients.

We have several properties. Can each have its own scenarios?

Yes. Build a scenario set per property with its own rates, spaces and packages, and assign it to the people who sell that property. Scenarios are unlimited, so a hotel group can add a new property without paying more.

How does it help with seasonal staff?

Seasonal staff usually arrive just before the busiest weeks, with little time for training. Assign them your most common enquiries before their first shift, let them practise as often as they need, and use the reports to see who’s ready for the phones. When they leave, their seats move to next season’s team.

Do we need to connect our PMS or CRM?

No. Kollup runs in the browser and practice calls happen inside it — click a link, allow the microphone once, and you’re on a call. No property management system integration and nothing to install before you can trial it with one team.

Which languages can our team practise in?

28+, including English, Greek, German, Russian, Hebrew, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Swedish, Arabic and Chinese. The language is set per scenario, and reports can come back in one language for the whole business.

Do you work with companies outside Cyprus?

Yes. We’re based in Limassol, but Kollup runs in the browser and onboarding happens on a call, so where your business is makes no difference to how it’s set up.

Bring us the enquiry your team keeps losing

Thirty minutes, no slide deck. Tell us what you sell and the enquiry your newer staff struggle with — we’ll build that client live and run it on the spot. If it isn’t convincing, you’ll know inside five minutes.
